Leverage Your Personal Brand Using Instagram Collab Posts
How To Create an IG Collab Post:
Start a new post (+ button) and select your photo or Reel. Tap Next twice.
On the final screen, tap Tag people, then Invite collaborator.
Search for and select the partner account's username. Tap Done.
Add your caption and Share.
The collaborator must accept the invitation for the post to appear on both profiles.
One of the easiest ways to grow your business brand account is by using your personal account as the bridge. Instagram’s collab feature makes this simple.
When you post as a collab, the content shows up on both feeds. That means your business instantly gets visibility with your personal audience—the people who already know, trust, and follow you.
This strategy works best for big moments:
Announcing your business or new brand launch.
Sharing a founder’s story post.
Highlighting special updates that make sense for both audiences.
By linking your personal account with your business account, you’re not just helping the visibility of your brand—you’re building connection. People are more likely to care about your brand more as they understand your association with the business and understand your journey to get there. And on a basic level, will simply learn there’s a whole world you’re building outside of your personal account and to follow to see it unfold.
And it’s efficient. Instead of creating separate posts for both pages, you can use collabs to share one piece of content across both, making it cohesive without extra work.
How to Start:
Post your founder’s story as a collab between your personal + brand accounts.
Use collabs for key announcements (new offers, milestones, launches).
Keep tagging your brand in captions so people know there’s a whole world you’re creating outside of your personal page.
Collab posts make it easy to bring your personal following into your business ecosystem—while giving your brand account the credibility and reach it needs to grow.
