What To Know To Make Our Project Successful…

Here, creativity meets collaboration and strategy.

  • Your project begins on your start date by receiving intake folders and your Notion Doc to fill out info about your brand. Once those items are received, we’ll schedule your Website Kickoff Call.

    If you booked the Signature Launch, we’ll start with your Discovery Call followed by a Solutions presentation where you’ll choose your final package. Your project schedule will be created from there.

    Timeline By Package:

    The Landing Page | 1-2 Weeks

    Simple & Sleek | 4-5 Weeks

    Signature Launch | 6-8 Weeks

  • Just before your final week of edits and before the website goes live.

    Please note, all payments are final and non-refundable.

    For retainers, you payment is due [3] business days before the upcoming month!

  • We allow [ 2 ] business days for you to provide feedback. We will assume you love it if we don’t hear within that timeframe. This allows us to stay on track and not go into overtime costs.

    With that said, you can definitely ask outside opinions, just be sure that all feedback is delivered by you, in [1] concise list, within the 2 day timeframe.

  • Your brand assets (logo, color palette, images, fonts aka your brand book).

    If you don’t have a brand book, no worries, we will work with you to define (2) fonts and a (3) color palette for your site BUT we ask you have a strong idea of what styles/vibes you like going into the project.

    If you’re not sure, create a Pinterest or moodboard and we can review it together.

Inspiration & Content

Once we get started you’ll receive your Site & Content Inventory Doc along with Google Folders to upload your assets.

IN THE MEANTIME…

(1) Choose up to 3 websites that visually convey how you would like your new website to look and feel. If there are layouts you’re drawn too or the use of color, that works too.

(2) Begin compiling your branded images, assets, etc. into a Google Folder.

(5) Tips For A Flawless Time Together

    Upload all text and photo content to the Google Drive, creating folders where needed, instead of sending by email where things tend to get lost in the back and forth of messages.

    Outside of Google Drive and Notion, we use Slack for quick communication with you.

    Think of DFS as your collaborator. You know your vision and brand best, and we are here to make sure you show up in the best way possible online, point out solutions you might not have considered, and create a website that is not JUST beautiful, but works for you as well. That means, we will work together on ideas and this will be a highly collaborative process.

  • (3)

    It’s best to set aside a little time each week during our project to give yourself a chance to respond to emails, give feedback and request edits. With that said, there will be times where we are just working behind the scenes, so communication might be lighter on both ends. Always feel free to email or Slack me a message with any questions.

  • (4)

    Don’t let uncertainty hold you back. Use me to ask deeper questions around your website and brand if you aren’t sure if something is working or not and we will find a solution together. Not sure how to describe a style or edit you want, let me know and we’ll dive in deeper together.

  • (5)

    Giving useful feedback. It’s important to give helpful vs. non-helpful feedback so communication is clear. Check out our FEEDBACK GUIDE for details.

    But overall the more specific, the better.

    Helpful: “The minimalist style works well for Apple. Can we aim for something similarly clean and modern?”

    Non-helpful: “I want it to pop more.”
